For the 2008 Thermo desk calendar, we (at Primordial Soop) decided to do a modern take on an odd but classic motif of desk calendars for Middle-eastern industrial companies: wildlife. Choosing to focus on Arabian peninsula wildlife, sea life and birds, I created twelve modern vector illustrations highlighting several of the region’s unique and wonderful examples of fauna. The calendar itself was very well-received by employees & companies, who were by now used to only seeing pictures of pipes & machinery adorning their company calendars.
