About NaNoWriMo...
by Vishal on Sat, 2007/10/27 - 2:53amI have never really finished anything I've started on that thing. I've never taken part in the community aspect. I've never really written anything I'd consider stellar (except for my first one, and that was more through sheer momentum of having reached the 30K mark on a story for the first time rather than anything inherent to the event).
Nanowrimo is a good motivational tool to set youself the goal of writing 50K in a month, but it isn't going to write those 50K words for you, if you know what I mean. I think I may do another 'meta-nano' like I did (or attempted to do) last year.

My mother let me draw on walls. It was 1986, I was three, and we were living in a one bedroom apartment in Ghusais, back when there was nothing there except for a block of already decrepit government flats, Al Mulla Plaza (closed because of a border dispute), and a procession of electrical towers between there and Sharjah.

Vishal K Bharadwaj is a graphic designer, photographer, writer and a geek of several persuasions. His body is in Dubai, his heart in India, and his brain roams the internet with abandon. He is not famous, but is sometimes mistaken for being so.
