Comic Konga! #001: Mister Savant Takes Xaria to the Furniture Store

Comic Konga has begun!
I figured I'd start out simple with a one-panel. My first idea was to have the same idea done over three or four panels but I think the joke doesn't really need anything more than one.
This was done in pencil, coloured in inkscape and put together in the GIMP. Word balloons in Inkscape. It's a bit of a fractured process, I know, but I prefer the quick flexibility of laying down colour shapes in a vector program but need the layer manipulations of a bitmap one like GIMP to keep it looking natural.
(Yes, I know it's 4 am. Still technically Monday, though)
Vishal K Bharadwaj is a graphic designer, photographer, writer and a geek of several persuasions. His body is in Dubai, his heart in India, and his brain roams the internet with abandon. He is not famous, but is sometimes mistaken for being so.

I was there
I was there when Mr. Bharadwaj's over-active mind had the inspiration for this one. As shown in the artist's impression, it happened right next to a pile of Lazy-Susans. But alas! My cleavage is nowhere as ample.
I'm a bit late starting Comic Konga, but I'm in:
The New Information Economy
Also, I have a little doubt. Are we required to behave like wrestlers at a Tag-Team Tournament and jeer at fellow competitors in this esteemed event, or is it just optional? :D
Over-Active Mind
I don't have an over-active mind -- I only have an over-active mouth. Don't tell me you weren't thinking of something along the same lines as we passed that rack*, only you are the strong silent type who doesn't say anything and just impersonates pirates and cast members of Entourage!
And as for trash talk, it's fine along as we follow Monkey Island Insult Swordfighting rules. (Oh, BTW: Coooooooool)
*(hehe, rack)
Gah! I havent forgotten! I
Gah! I havent forgotten! I havent forgotten! Just haven't been near my scanner yet! Comics coming tonight! Promise!!!

No Worries!
No worries! This isn't Nazi Comics Week, you know. Enjoy yourself and take your time. Samir's still doing five but starting Tuesday, and really I think it's all good and worth it as long as we end up doing something by the end of the week.
